This is a Tro Tro. It is a van that is rather cheap to travel on. It is like a cross between a taxi and a bus. The hard part is knowing which one to get on and where to get help. Actually it was not hard as the teacher we work with us went with us.
Reminds me of the "matatus" I would ride in Kenya. Their policy was "a matatu is never full". Does Ghana hold the same policy...add more people as long as they are willing to pay and don't mind sitting in a stranger's lap?
Hi Thanks for all the comments. I hope you have fun in Indonesia. Actually I was surprised that they do not cram the tro tro full. After the seats are full they do not take more. People just wait for the next so it is not really uncomfortable. It is nicer when moving as it is very hot here so sitting in traffic can be very sweaty.
